The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced that it will provide funding for a sixth professional contract at each womens regional team. Uncapped Sussex bowler Freya Davies has been given one of 21 central contracts awarded to England Women for 2019. Sixteen female cricketers have been awarded full-time domestic contracts with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), taking the total to 41. Each of the eight teams in the regional set-up now has five full-time players, with Western Storm funding a sixth. Most of the Players included in the full central contract will be compensated with atleast 925,000 for 12 months regardless of number of matches played or their performance however there are some discrepancies. They have also been in the world championship. England's elite female players will be paid twice as much in 2021 as they were during last year's World Cup win, if plans come to fruition. This contract is awarded to Dom Bess, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan and Liam Livingstone for 2021/22 season.
